Jonathan and I have worked long and hard turn to a simple idea into a rich backstory. It doesn’t matter what we write on the website, though, if we don’t also develop the backstory in the game. One of our best tools, then, is having certain encounters in game. These encounters will be breaks from the normal “build, create, fight, destroy, conquer” gameplay. They won’t occur in every game, and some may be as simple as seeing something unusual on the ground. But these events are how we will give you the story in the game."
