The world is coming to an end. The cities are crumbling, the fields lie barren, life already gone. In the dark, a fleeting spirit reaches out to a child. Setting out into a world of remnants, they travel together, to save what can be saved, and to understand. Empathy is an adventure game with emphasis on story telling and exploration. A game about emotions, good intentions and desperate measures, where you embark on a journey through a dying world to discover its story and wonders. Together, the Spirit and the Child travel along the Road, a road between existences, filled with memories and echos of the past. Behind them, the crumbling world, in front, a glimpse of hope. Where will their journey take them?

Flashbacks. Often an essential tool in any storytellers arsenal they can both lift or sink a story. In our game, player will face four unique flashbacks, we call them Echos. Each Echo will be same room, but drastically different every time you see it, telling you about the past of the Child. Echo will utilize first person perspective instead of our traditional third person camera and freeze you in place, allowing to interact with items but not to move.
In the Echo you will be able to pickup and inspect items that directly or indirectly tell you Child's story and once you complete the Echo a new emotional plane (see previous news post) will be unlocked for you to help you in your adventures. Some clues may be more subtle than others, so it will be up to player to piece the facts together.
Below you can see Echo that unlocks Depression plane.

This episode of #DoctorWho was bit underwhelming. Hopefully the anniversary episode will make up for it!

Curious if the purpose of #thefollowing pilot was to include as many cliches as possible. Interesting show tho.

Just a small update, we are still alive and working on new art style :)
Looks good =) What platform will be choosen for realising? However, I wish you good luck with this game. Tracked
Thanks! UDK supports Mac and Windows, which are the primary platforms we are going to target at first :)
ah nice guys shared this already, hope you get more attention soon =D
Hey there, great looking game! Who's responsible for the beautiful concept art?
Thank you! Its by Massimo Porcella, you can find his info on our official page :)
oh I love point and click games and this one surely looks awesome. I think you should stick to point&click. You can get the best out of the very professional looking concept art if you do (use the resources you have in the most effective way!). I fear that turning this into a 3D environment might spoil its atmosphere or take way too long to create. Just a thought...
Tracking this game.
Thank you for your support, and I agree. We do have some features planned tho to spice it up :)
looks visually intriguing my kind people! looking forward for more concept artwork and in-game shots when they are acceptably good enough to be shown to the public!
expect my "watch" and my support!
Very nice, I like the mood.
