I'm very pleased to announce a new update for Embersol Mercenaries! This release adds new Global territories, faction warfare, a new reputation system, and new ships and weapons to unlock. New builds are available on the Google Play store as well as PC/Mac/Linux. As always, players can fight online with anyone on any platform.
Territories and Faction Warfare
There is a new system map which can be accessed by jumping through any FTL gate in a zone. There's over 500 zones available, each under control of a faction with open contracts for mercenary pilots. Currently there's just two gamemodes. A PVP Cruiser Battle mode for zones in conflict, and a cooperative Patrol mission passive zones. Every hour, zones will switch control to the faction with the most wins. Depending on which faction you fight for, you'll gain or lose reputation which will unlock new faction level flagships, fighter ships and weapons.

- Over a dozen new flagship and fighter weapons and subsystems included beam weapons and drone escorts.
Starfall faction flagship is a specialist capable of being a drone capital ship or missile platform.
Use the Destroyer's faction fighter if you want speed.
Navigation changes
The different POI's per zone is out and there's a new simplified system in place. Warping is now a fast travel option within a zone. Structures and other capital class ships will show up in warp allow more tactical options with your engagements.
Another change is you can no longer FTL out of a zone at will. There are FTL gate scattered throughout each zone. Entering the center of each will start up the FTL drive and take you to the system map.
