Pytheas is a galactic exploration, vehicle based, construction game. It has been in development since December 2010. A fleet from Earth's Exploratory Force has gone missing; you are sent to find it. After finding the aptly named ship, Pytheas, you could return to earth, report the find, and let a collection of search and rescue efforts do the rest. However, realizing that is boring, you decide to scour the nearby star systems with your brand new, eerily empty inter-stellar mammoth. Pytheas gives players the tools to execute thier ideas without the limitations of a game engine designed with a different purpose in mind. Barriers that limit how you can play are removed to allow for more freedom.
Walk around your ship when it is moving and in any orientation. The camera controller has been reintegrated to give a more natural feel. No more rigid movement or sudden rotations in flight. Also, the first alpha is coming this week!

The first Pytheas alpha is coming this week! My testing team has helped me work out any major bugs and form a stable release candidate. I want to add a few more features for the first alpha so I will take the time to get those programmed in. Now that a stable version has been formed, features and content can be added quickly. In the meantime, here is a quick video to showcase one of the most fun features in Pytheas, walking around your ship in flight/combat. Enjoy!
