Description

Gary Savage is the J. Robert Oppenheimer of the nanotechnology revolution. He was instrumental in creating a technology capable of destroying the world, and he (perhaps belatedly) came to realize that such an act carries with it a certain moral imperative.

While the basic theory behind nano-tech predates him by decades, it's pretty safe to say that Gary Savage is the man responsible for making large-scale, practical nano-engineering a reality. He's the one who took all the pieces and put them together. His ultimate achievement is the first fully operational Universal Constructor, a machine with the potential to create pretty much anything.

As he became more aware of the potential of the creations, he also became more aware of the agenda of the organization that sponsored them, Majestic 12. Together with his co-workers and his idealistic daughter, Tiffany, he conceived an audacious plan to break his second UC free of MJ12 control, and thereby create a sort of balance of power. As might be expected, such a move would inevitably draw reprisals
