yeah uh warren.... weve got a situation. I beat the boss, leveled up and died at the same time. it seems that I was revived off of the map.

So whenever you died, it revives you off the map? Did you quit the game when you died? Also, what room do you revive at?

just booted up darkflame today and was surprised.
I believe this is where the term
"but wait, THERES MORE!!!"
comes from. I had finished the final arena duel, which I had assumed was an endless survival.
I later checked with the merchant just encase and found some dev items. warren, you never cease to amaze me.
the only thing I am wondering is what is behind the start room? but if im wondering that then I guess you did a good job making the game immersive. also, from what I understand, the pyre isn't the holy realic that everyone thinks it is, and that it draws its power from the dark flame?

I'm glad you enjoyed booting it back up! I'm going to add in a "hotfix" to this demo soon that reworks collision and adds a few more things.

You aren't the only one who was wondering what was behind that start room - maybe it will be available in the future?

This demo was just to mainly work on my level design and the actual game will be a completely different environment.

As far as the pyres and the dark flame goes - that's an interesting theory :P

as I have said before, I would like a chance to work with the team or at the very least assist in further testing. I understand the flood of random people that just ask away on wanting to test because "YADAYADACOMPLAINPLSPLS" but I would like to actually lend a hand in development. I missed the kickstarter (not that it matters because im broke) so I was not able to get in the testing team that way, but I am a programmer and designer, (and a fan of igavania/darksouls) so I feel I might be a help in testing if not actual dev. on another note, you should consider a few things:

local/(online?) coop,
random generation dungeons
layered map(doors in the bg/fg that take you to other rooms, or "layers")
adding in the alpha demo as a easter egg
slide kick and dropkick
will the game be moddable on release or through future patching?

This game is marvelous, impeccable! The references to Symphony of the Night (Most notably Firekeeper cloak!) are extremely well-placed. What to say about the soundtrack?! Stunning! Not to mention it's challenging, yet rewarding mechanics, allied to a beautiful background. Congratulations to all involved in this piece of art! Doubtlessly going to buying when it comes out. (Ps.: Would love to see an online coop!)
