Conquest of Elysium 3 is an old school fantasy strategy game. You explore your surroundings conquer locations that provides the resources you need. Resources needed vary much depending on what character you are, e.g. the high priestess need places where she can gather human sacrifices, the baron needs places where tax can be collected and where iron can be mined. These resources can then be used for magic rituals and troop recruitments. The main differentiator for this game is the amount of features and special abilities that can be used. The game can be played on Windows, Linux (x86 and raspberry pi) and Mac OSX (intel and powerpc).

I was testing out a mod I made that adds in terrain types 35 and 99 (white and red question marks). I lost a game and revealed the map, and I see the red and white question marks, but I was under the impression they were converted into rare terrains (according to manual). Is this only the case if the player reveals fog of war over the "question mark" location?

If I remember, there is a difference between having that in the map file vs adding it later.

Kindof cool if you do it on purpose. To come across a great big red question mark on the map. But if you want to have them IN the map and then use a command later to cause the location change then you might want to use the addfancyterrain command instead. That command can also be used multiple times to increase chances
