"Breaking The Rules" is a third-person action/fighting game. Game is mainly played as a brawl, ( but can also be played in the classic 1 vs 1 mode ). Fights can happen local ( up to 4 players on the same machine ) or multiplayer up to 12 players. The game is 100% physic based, one still standing, and totally fallen in 8 of the most beautiful locations in the city of Rome faithfully reproduced.
While the time of submission is approaching, I was able to create a short video showing the improvements we made to the hit system based on dynamic ragdolls, (dynamic ragdolls a.k.a. "active" blend themselves with animation pose), you can clearly see the effect on every major hit.
Based on the same technology were also introduced the new realistic KOs.
The old Ko "Supafly" will still be available as unlockable content.
And stay down ..........
this looks nice !
Oh yeah! That's much better! Good job.
This is looking really good. Love the female character's moves. Only thing I find a bit odd is the length of the male character's arms, they seem a bit short.
Anyway, keep up the good work :)
I think a little modification on the animations and the rig would do the job, because from what I see their animations are the same for every characters and isn't adapted to their body yet, I guess.
And yeah this game kick ***, I want to see more ...
Hi guys, thanks for the feedback!
Which male character are you talking in particular? The fat one? ( Mickey his name )
@TheBTRStudios
Hey there, from what I've seen in the videos it looks like all male characters have this problem, the rest of the body looks good, it's just the arms that have this problem. The female looks nice though.
Here's a simple reference to give you an idea of what they should look like:

Take note that the arms go all the way down the crotch and the hands begin even lower than that.
And dont feel discouraged, proportions are a bitch, it's the thing I've had the most problems with too. But getting it right goes a long way to make your models look better.
I'm sorry but i don't think the proportions of males are wrong,
our artist considered it vey carefully, especially in the design of Tony and T-Dog.
Do not be fooled by the FOV of the camera because it is dynamic and can sometimes alter the proportions.
This is true for the 2 characters Tony and T-Dog.
You can check ZBrush seeing of T-DOG model as example.

An exception is made for Mickey.

in this case ( it is true, you are right ) the proportions are a little bit different than the "ideal proportion male" you are talking here.

But this is exactly the desired effect, because we wanted to inspire to a particular character in real life (guess who?) mirroring perfectly his fisinomia,
and yes, he is exactly the same, including proportions (I doubt that have noticed it in many, if not people with the "mindset" of the standard character artist;-) congratulations! )
Our game whant to have a very personal style that tends to realism, including error in human figures, that are common in real life... you may like it or not, ( and you have to see paolino or Ewan characters! ) but our characters are not "action figures" so common and standardized in mainstream games...
p.s.. for those who had guessed who is the real life guy who is the source of our inspiration... I add that this is the aspect that he had 3 or 4 years ago ... now it's back a bit 'more' in shape!
i would like to see some evasion moves and some blocking maybe even some counter attack moves.keep it up!
looks great!
