BATTLE CITY REMAKE is a remake of the original game produced and published by Namco at the year 1985. The game is a multi-directional shooter where you control a tank that must destroy all 20 enemies in each stage to advance to the next level. The enemy tanks on the other side attempt to destroy the player's base as well as the player. The 35 levels from the game have been created maintaining the same layout and level of destruction of the original game.
Battle City Remake Version 1.2 it's now available. Now you can share maps online!
Will in-game saves be added?
We try to stay close to the original game and in-game saves are out of question. Sorry.
If in-game saves won't be implemented, this game requires a stage choice: right after you click either 1 or 2 player mode, you should be able to start the game at a desired stage (as you did on FamiCom's original release - "A" goes 1 stage forward, "B" - 1 backward and "Start" confirms). Do similar case here - arrow left = go back 1 stage, arrow right = go forward 1, enter = confirm.
Yes, The stage selection was available on the original game... I'm going to implement the option in a future update.
Hello author, I really like your creation. I would very much like the game to have a "Tank1990" mode, where enemies can take bonuses on a par with the player. And very lacking x86 support.
Not sure if is going to happen, but it's a possibility.
