Asterogue is all about fast-paced, intense combat in a completely procedural world. Weapons, dungeons, enemies and even mini-bosses are all procedurally created on the fly allowing you to experience something truly diverse every time you explore the depths of The Onion. Every attack you make in Asterogue is linked to a different touch-gesture, so you'll find yourself swiping madly and fluidly to build up your combos, unleash stunning procedural effects and overcome the hordes of General Wreckursion's robot army!

Fourth weekly update from Asterogue! Features: New Attacks / Art, New Enemies / Art, Locked Doors, Totally Revamped HUD, Finalized Background Art, New Music, AND BUILDING TO DEVICES!!

Posted by on

It's our biggest update yet, Asteroids! This week we've got new attacks, new enemies, new art, new sound, and get this: a new platform. That's right, we finally have Asterogue running where it belongs: on a tablet! In this case, we're showing it off on an iPad 2, but Asterogue should run equally well on iPhones and Android devices.

Anyway, enough about those technicalities. You're here for the pretty lights and explosions, and who can blame you? We've got some freakin' sweet explosions.

Highlighted features this week include:

  • New attacks and attack art! Check out slashes, stabs, bullets, shotguns, boomerangs, and more!
  • New enemies and enemy art! Cower at the sight of gunner, aura, turret, and skuttling enemy types!
  • Locked doors in the dungeon — what treasures could they be designed to protect?
  • Totally revamped HUD!
  • New background art!
  • New music!

See you next week for more development updates as we count down towards our big demo release at the end of March!
