Abendrot is a psychedelic and surreal psychological horror made in the style of a Point-and-click quest with elements of a Text Quest, a Visual novel and a survival horror. All the locations and textures of the characters are made by hand in a sloppy sketchy drawing, on which a pixel monochrome filter is applied after digitization. This is done in order to convey the distorted perception of the world by the main character. It's the same with music — It sometimes just cuts the ear to put pressure on the player. The game also has a lot of strange and incomprehensible solutions characteristic of surrealism. Many scenes are absolutely insane and absurd, which reflects the psychedelic component of the game.
