"A Wizard's Day" is an adventure/platformer with strong puzzle elements. You must stop the evil warlock Zorgamor's spell that has turned the kingdoms people to stone. You must make your way through 5 unique areas, gaining items and solving environmental puzzles. On your way you must find the pieces to the broken staffs of good and evil, for only when you have them all will you gain the power needed to break the spell. Each staff piece is guarded by a powerful boss so it won't be easy! This game is developed using the Unity engine. Target platforms are Windows, Mac, Linux and Wii U eShop.

Hello! My name is Micheal Tonder and I'm a fledgling indie game developer. I thought I'd take the time to tell my story of why I'm here and just what I hope to achieve. Not only with this game but in the future as well.

A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to make a venture, one that I've been looking to do for a bit.

I have been working in the industry for a little over a decade now in various fields. Most of them were in television and film but I've always wanted to be apart of making videogames. After a number of years working at a visual effects house, I decided to switch paths ever so slightly and began working at a studio that made casual games. Unfortunately they closed their doors which left me an opening to go work for a school. Now you might be thinking why? Well they had a project that would let me work with a game engine, a game engine called Unity.

This is something I really wanted to do as I hadn't been able to work with an engine like this before. Well I really liked it. It spurred an idea that I've been knocking around my noggin for a year or so and set me on this path. After 2 years of contract work with the school and saving my cash, I decided to set off on my own to really learn Unity and make my own game. Hence the birth of "A Wizard's Day".

The project started small. I was unsure of what I could do with Unity but as time progressed, that changed. The game you see now is the 3rd iteration of the project. I highly recommend checking out the brief history of it's development. What started as a learning project turned into a full scale game.

So now I have a Kickstarter, something I thought I'd never be able to do. I find myself having to put something I've worked on for 2 years out there to the public for the first time. And that's why I'm here. To be apart of this scene. I want this game to succeed. I want to be able to make updates of my progress, show new areas and gameplay, and develop something that will provide a fun and engaging experience.

Most importantly though is that it's my "learning" game. I have bigger aspirations and one day hope to open a small studio in my community.

So that's my short story of what brought me here. I hope that the project finds a lot of interest and I'm eager to show more!
