40 Stories is a puzzle game where you must create duplicates of yourself to escape 40 challenging floors. It is being developed by 88 Chico State University students in the Applied Computer Graphics, Computer Science, and Recording Arts departments. In 40 Stories, you play as Anita Hent, a disgruntled technical support employee who is on a mission to leave her office. In Anita’s haste, she runs into the megalomaniacal Professor Darius McDoogle, who zaps her with his reality altering Quantum Stabilizer, which then gives Anita the power to clone herself. Anita must now traverse her ever changing office building with the help of her very own Fanboy and escape McDoogle’s grasp.

We've been working on doing slight updates to 40 Stories over the past month and have finally uploaded it. Because so much was changed, I decided to just create a whole new installer. So head over to our downloads section if you haven't tried 40 Stories yet, or would like a slightly improved version. The major changes include resolution adjustment and tougher par times.

This looks like an absolute blast ! It has a wonderful look to it and it's clear that some serious thought and care has gone into it. Will the musical style in the video be the same used for the game ( liking that too ! ) ? I'm keeping an eye on this one !
Best of luck in the IGF competitions. I've been following that.
Thanks. As for the music style, it will vary based on the level theme you're in. We have really talented musicians working on it, so the quality is going to be amazing.
Looks fun :) I'm gonna try it ;)
The concept looks pretty similar to a game I've been developing: Indiedb.com
Not that it terribly bothers, just wanted to mention. There's good but old gameplay footage in the 3rd news piece.
Oh your game looks amazing, I'm loving the visual style.
