39 Days to Mars is a two player co-operative puzzle-adventure game. Step into the shoes of Sir Albert Wickes and The Right Honourable Clarence Baxter, two 19th century explorers who have chosen to pilot the HMS Fearful on its maiden voyage to Mars. When the steam engine runs out of coal, the ship's cat shreds the navigation chart, and the tea gets cold, it becomes clear that interstellar transportation isn't a walk in the park. It will take the talents of two players working together on the problems that arise to get to Mars in one piece.

The top 100

Valve measures the progress of games on Greenlight as a percentage of how far they are towards reaching the top 100. Sound confusing? It is a bit.

Games on Greenlight are approved in batches, with the top games being approved every few months. Sometimes it's groups of 50 or 100 games, and more recently it's been batches of 75 games.

Whatever the threshold, having such a high level of support is a great step towards getting onto Steam, and being in the top 100 is an exciting milestone.

39 Days to Mars in the News

It's been exciting to see Albert and Baxter appearing around the web.39 Days to Mars was discovered by Kotaku when it popped up on Greenlight, while Rock Paper Shotgun called it The Charmingest Adventure Game. Nintendo Enthusiast reckoned it was possibly the most interesting looking title to be heading to the Wii U.

That's not to mention the 347 comments on Steam Greenlight. I read all of them, even the ones I have to run through google translate. (So yes, I'd love to translate the game into Russian! We'll see what I can conjure up). If you've still got questions about the game, feel free to ask in the Steam Forums or leave a comment below.
