Writer Looking for Project Thread

Hello.

I am a recent college graduate looking for a project in need of a story and/or quest writer. I double majored in creative writing and film, and I have had a short story published in the past. My written work, which includes both prose and screenplays, has involved various genres such as fantasy, science fiction, westerns, historical fiction, and post-apocalyptic. I am interested in and familiar with most genres, but science fiction and fantasy tend to hold my interest the most. Particularly, I am interested in Elder Scrolls-style open world games, as they offer an opportunity for a great deal of experimentation and variety in narrative tone and style. The art of video game storytelling and the medium's capacity for innovative narratives are concepts I hope to explore over the course of the project.

As far as influences go, I'm all over the place. In games, they are The Elder Scrolls series, the Fallout series, the Mass Effect series, Red Dead Redemption, Warcraft 3, Diablo 2, Planescape: Torment, and The Last of Us. In film, it's anything by Martin Scorsese, the Coen Brothers, Andrei Tarkovsky, Paul Thomas Anderson, and David Lynch. And finally, in literature it's Cormac McCarthy, Kurt Vonnegut, William Faulkner, Peter Carey, Peter Matthiessen, and a whole bunch more. Basically, I'm familiar with storytelling across media, and I believe there is a great deal to be learned in how different each medium is from the others.

My subject matter tends to be dark and mature, and I would like to work on a project dealing with similar inclinations. That's not to say that's all I can do, as I do enjoy some comic relief from time to time. Dialogue is a specialty of mine, so if your project includes a good deal of that, then I'm your man.

I'm looking for either a paid or un-paid project. It can be an indie or a mod as long as it seems like it would be a good fit for me.
