If you are a coder or 2d artist interested in innovative story-based rpgs, then Searchlight Games can use your help. Currently most of the work is and has been done by one person who is more fluent in writing than programming or graphic art. This leads to a lot of time delays to spend practicing and learning things that could much better be handled by potential team members or outsourced work.

Currently, Searchlight Games is working on a 2d Roguelike rpg with a runelike spellcasting system and a rich story. We need some help from a coder and an artist to speed up production and help make the game as best it could be. Currently there isn't much of a budget for a continual job, so if you would like pay then it would be a job-by-job option that I would use to purchase assets from you when needed. Alternatively, I can hire you on to the team for no pay at first, but instead rev-sharing from this game and any future games we produce. (Searchlight Games has a lot of future game plans)

Currently The Heartland Saga has made a lot of progress, and has a developed UI with a Title Screen, save features, a rune-drawing system, dialogue system, questlines, and much much more.

Coders: The help we would need from a coder would be to help perfect the casting system, help set the layout for the casting menu, as well as debugging and more as things come. You will need to be fluent in GML since we are solely using GameMaker at this point.

2d Artist: An artist will be needed to help polish the title menu gui, edit and change the inventory/inventory sprites, create enemy sprites, and much more.

It would be much appreciated if you were available at least daily or every other day to discuss progress.

If you are interested feel free to comment on here, pm me, or email me at theheartlandsaga@gmail.com

Below is a screenshot for the basic feel of the game.
