Wildfire Games is an independent game development team made up of volunteers from all over the world. Wildfire Games started out as the small modding team that produced "Rome at War", the largest and most popular mod for Age of Kings in 2001. Since 2003, the team has been developing a standalone RTS game, 0 A.D., from the ground up.

Each standard line unit has three levels of experience: Basic -> Advanced -> Elite. This is the Elite Upgrade for the Triarius (the Basic Triarius is here). He has the most experience, best armor, and most lethal weaponry of any standard Roman infantry.
The Triarii were veterans of military service, usually in their 30s or 40s, with money to afford the best weapons and equipment. They made up the third line of heavy infantry, armed with stabbing spears. If the Hastati and Principi could not defeat the enemy, the Triari would come forward and finish them off. Usually they didn't have to fight.
