Wildfire Games is an independent game development team made up of volunteers from all over the world. Wildfire Games started out as the small modding team that produced "Rome at War", the largest and most popular mod for Age of Kings in 2001. Since 2003, the team has been developing a standalone RTS game, 0 A.D., from the ground up.

Description

Liby-Phoenician Pikemen were the backbone of many Carthaginian armies throughout the 3rd and 2nd Centuries BC. These men were a mix of indigenous Libyan peoples and Phoenician colonists and were intensely loyal to their capital city of Carthage. Influenced by the Greek Hellenistic kingdoms and by its conflict with the Greek kingdom of Epirus, Carthage armed their Liby-Phoenician soldiers in the Macedonian style, with Hellenistic helmets, small shield, cuirass, greaves, and long pike.

They went on to participate in many of the major engagements between the Carthaginians and their rivals from Italia and Sicilia and soon developed a reputation for ruggedness and steadfastness.

These soldiers will be the main anti-cavalry unit for Carthaginian player as well one of the three citizen-soldiers available to the player from the start of the game.
