We appreciate all your support over the years and would be grateful if you could support us with our latest readership survey.
ModDB and IndieDB are partnered with the Gamer Network group, which includes Rock Paper Shotgun; Eurogamer.net and more, and share advertising across the network of sites. Each year, we now conduct a readership survey to better understand you and our community, so we can better serve you and to continue to adapt and grow with the trends of the industry.

I'm happy to fill out a survey that'll help the site out, but "How much are you likely to spend on your next car?" Can you not data mine people? Was readily going to help out but you're just going into personal data at this point; not to mention all the other questions like mobile plans, hosting provider etc. Really put a bad taste in my mouth after going through that. While you don't have to answer those questions, I still can't help but feel like this information is going to be sold or used for the wrong reasons.
Hey there, those are pretty personal questions! And as you say, you can skip over any such as those if you don't feel comfortable answering them, that's completely fair. We appreciate those answering the game specific questions first and foremost, and from then on if you feel the rest aren't relevant or too personal feel free to skip over them.
Have made a note about the personal questions in the article now too. This is part of a wider survey organised by the Gamer Network which ModDB & IndieDB are a part of, and is created by the Network's advertising team (to be transparent!).
