Hello!
Installing this mod is very easy:
- Download the mod file, named OLGame.zip
- Extract the zip and place the extracted file "olgame.upk" in [OutlastDir]\OLGame\CookedPCConsole\
- Start up the game to verify that everything works
- Done!
By [OutlastDir] I mean the directory you installed outlast to, here are a few common directories your game might be in:
- If you are using Steam and you haven't changed your default game folder, you can find your game here: "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Outlast"
- If you are using a cracked copy of the game, you might be able to find your game in "C:\Games"
- Some people may also find their game here: "C:\Program Files(x86)\Outlast"
A few more things to note:
- This was only tested on a windows machine and it was not tested on Linux or Mac
- If your game crashes, shoot me a pm on youtube or moddb and append the following log file (location should be the same for everyone): "Documents\My Games\Outlast\OLGame\Logs\Launch.log"
- This does NOT work on the original game files, only the game updated with the whistleblower DLC

When I put the mod and I open the game it tells me that the game does not respond someone helps me please
You have to have the DLC installed. If you do not wish to purchase the Whistleblower expansion and you have not made a backup of the original UPK file, delete the mod's UPK and verify the game files if you bought the game on Steam. If you do not have it installed, but either own it or want to buy it, install it right away (after purchasing if you bought it) and see if that fixes it.

It shows up as a paper icon and I can't do anything with it.
that paper icon is the file. you have to replace it in the game files

Got the game and the DLC for free on Humble Bundle. I'll back up the original UPK before installing just in case it doesn't work for me.
