Right, I want feedback from you lovely gamers out their. Should I edit the mod so the player has mercenary troops at the start as well as some food? Or should I increase the starting gear so that the player has more money to spend at that start. It's one or the other I'm afraid as I don't want to make it to easy. Please place your votes in the comments of this article.

What I was thinking is, the player should have a better chance against bandits at the start, obviously not a big enough advantage to go and fight a hundred Nordibites at once but a fair one. So what I was thinking is that the player could either start with the following two advantages:
----Economic Advantage----
Player starts with:
Wool Cloth x2
Wool x2
Iron x1
Padded Jack x1
Short sword x1
Neckguard helm (about 30 armor) x1
Medium round shield (new item) x1
or

----Militaristic Advantage----
Player starts with:
Iron x2
Fish x 1
Bread x 2
Grain x2
Dried Meat x1
5 x Valemen Recruit
5x Argent Footmen
5 x Erikson Recruit

I vote for the mercs and items, because money comes automatically but the items are harder to get. Also, the items can easily be sold if someone doesn't want to carry them around with him. Troops and items always come in handy, and you won't have to worry so much about the food. Thus, I am voting for the second option with Militaristic Advantage, because Warband is and remains a war game with primary focus on the combat and military campaigns. Being able to jump right into those is amazing.

Agreed, Mercs sounds like a better idea. Or maybe it's just me since I like plating through using only mercenaries

However,if you choose economical, I won't be disappointing.
PS;Maybe if people want 15 mercs,their father could've been a merc leader?
