What is No Man's Land?
No Man's Land is a Tower Defense Strategy game.
Command Steampunk armies and utilize tactics to fight off hordes of enemies. Go head to head with other players or enjoy the detail rich story-driven campaign. Fortify your defenses to protect your base while spawning epic units such as infantry, tanks, zeppelins, and mechs to vanquish your opponents. How long can you survive?
This Steampunk styled game blends elements from Real Time Strategy and Tower Defense. Players will position various barricades and towers along a path to assault and obstruct waves of enemies. Opposing armies are attempting to destroy the player's treasured Headquarters building.
In addition to constructing fortifications to protect their HQ, players also spawn a large variety of awesome units to combat hostile forces and destroy the opponents Headquarters. Not only must players protect their base from destructive machines of war, but command and build a Steampunk army to demolish their enemy's HQ as well.
Features
- Campaign
- Survival Mode
- Spawn Units
- Build Defenses
- Research Upgrades
The biggest feature in No Man's Land that sets it apart from other Tower Defense games is spawning units. The player's arsenal of units will have a cost to build, time to build, damage output, range, speed, and health. There will be many different units, but the basic types are Infantry, Tanks, Zeppelins, and Mechs. These machines of war have varying effectiveness against each other and the order in which you spawn them will make a massive difference. Players must balance the options of spawning units to destroy enemy threats, building defenses to be more secure, or investing in research to improve their armies or defenses.
Game Modes
There will be modes of gameplay for all types of players that will introduce a very high level of replay-ability. These modes include campaign, multiplayer, and survival.
Campaign
Campaign will offer players an interesting story as well as long term goals and varying levels. This mode will also be how the player unlocks new units, defenses, and research trees.
Survival
Survival mode will test players to see how long they can survive against waves of enemies with an increasing difficulty curve.
Gameplay
The gameplay in No Man's Land is very simple. It consists of choosing to spawn units, build defenses, or research upgrades. The player will also have a unique Hero Ability they can activate, which vary depending on the Nation chosen. The ultimate goal is to destroy the enemy Headquarters building. The Headquarters or HQ is the building that produces a players units.
Units
Spawning units will place a unit randomly in one of 4 lanes. Units move in a straight line towards the enemy's Headquarters.
Units will move in a straight line towards the enemy HQ and attack enemy controlled units and buildings in their path once in range.
There are 4 different types of units. Infantry, Armor, Air, and Mechs.
Infantry
Infantry units are relatively cheap and quick to build. Due to their lower health and attack, their strength truly lies in numbers. The ability to spawn large numbers of infantry quickly is where their advantage lies. They are also very effective against air units, but will get easily taken out by tanks and enemy defenses such as barbed wire fences.
Armor
Armor units are expensive, slow to build, and super powerful. Their tough defenses give them massive health, and their cannons grant them huge attack capabilities. They excel at taking out enemy infantry and steamrolling over barricades. They are however vulnerable to air attacks and mines.
Air
Air units rule the skies and can travel over any barricades without problem. They are very effective at taking out enemy armor units, but can be a bit flimsy and taken out with ease by a swarm of infantry units.
Mech
Mech units are very expensive, slow to build, and out class every other unit. These machines of war boast an insanely high amount of health, massive attack capabilities, and can easily turn the tide of battle.
Defenses
Spawning and placing defenses is another option players have. Players can choose to spend their resources on making units and rushing the enemy, or focusing on improving their territory by building Defenses.
There will be two types of building types, Towers and Barricades. Towers will be placed on the side of the main path and actively try to destroy enemy units in range. Barricades will be placed on the path itself, to obstruct and slow down enemy units.
Research
Researching upgrades will add a deeper layer to the gameplay. Research will offer no cosmetic changes to units, but will offer them a variety of benefits. Such as increased health or attack.
Story
The year is 1914, a time when World War I has forced Europe towards the brink of destruction.
As commander of your country's forces, you must protect your sovereignty by building machines of war.
You will wield the cataclysmic capability of siege engines, mechanized infantry, war zeppelins, and
steam powered mechs as you bring your nation to power.
No Man's Land will immerse players in a grievous storyline where the fate of their civilization rests on their military prowess and command of a new evolution in technology.
Build or be broken.
It is time to protect your tower.

Thank you!
Before I saw the posters name, I recognized my country in the background. Well done! ;)
Haha, awesome. Thank you!
sounds like fun !
Appreciate it!
It looks fantastic, when the game comes out will it be like a RTS or a first person style or like a build your untis on designated spaces like a overview style?
Goodness, didn't see this until now. (I don't get notifications when people comment, sorry!)
It will be RTS style. The camera is sort of like a 2D side scroller. When you build units they come out of the HQ and travel towards the enemy base on their own. You can build defenses along the path they travel.
I appreciate the reply and that sounds amazing ill have to check on progress regularly
No problem! I'll try to check around more often to see if I missed any comments. But yeah, we are really close to releasing a free demo for people to try out. We've worked out a lot of bugs and we think the game is pretty fun so far. Can't wait to let you try it out!
