A short post explaining about helping with the mod with 3d and 2d graphics

Hello everyone,

Work on the mod continues and the team and me are working tirelessly to insure that when released Modern Warfare is the best modern day mod you will play. However, HOI IV is a much more visual game than HOI III was and at the moment there are not enough hands helping with creating the new graphics for the mod.

Please note that any previews you see in terms of graphics are either work in progress or temporary graphics put in place to visualize some kind of an aspect of the mod, many of these will be changed significantly in future releases but the emphasis for the initial release of the mod is on gameplay, not graphical overhaul.

Despite this, we do want to provide some good eye candy with the mod and need help with this. If you yourself or you know anyone who is experienced with 3D and 2D graphics please contact any member of the team or myself.

Here are the skills we are looking for:

2D Graphics:

- Experience with designing game/mod UI
- Working with Photoshop, DDS files and alpha channels (if you don't know what these are you are probably not experienced enough)

- Experience with designing logo's, icons and textures.

3D Graphics:

- Knowledge of working with Maya.

- Experience with modeling modern military hardware such as tanks, fighters, ships and artillery. Putting these models into the game and making sure they work will also be part of your work.

Other requirements:

- At least 4 hours a week for work on the mod.

- A decent wired internet connection with Skype and a microphone for conference calls.

If you think you fit these requirements please let us know and join us in making Modern Warfare as good as it can be.

Please note: We are currently not looking for people with little/some/a bit of modding experience or skills beyond the one's posted here, we have plenty of hands to do general modding in terms of events/focus tree's and so on, its a pleasure for us to hear that you want to help but a small and organized team is a better than a large and disorganized one where everyone does the same work.

You will be asked to show some of your work to determine your skill level, and may be asked to do a small peace of work as an evaluation as well, these are needed to make sure that you can do independent work without delaying other team members who may be working on other aspects of the mod, we would love to teach people how to mod or do graphics but we simply don't have the time.
