In this video I'll go over some of the new game play mechanics we have implemented into Recruits.

Hey Everyone,

Check out the video below for our 7th video log. This Update is about the minigun, player death and a rescue mission.

We are hard at work with getting a version of Recruits that is working well enough for you guys to try out. We are not far off a demo and we hope to really impress you all with it.

Our programmers are going strong adding in new features and improving old ones everyday, and we are busy with art and level design to make the game fun and interesting to play. Especially for multi player :) We are updating our menus, HUD, and Camera, which we hope will really make Recruits feel abit more polished and clean.

Preview of the new overhead HUD, a lot easier to read and with names!

We also hope to have some wallpapers to download soon in the same theme of our new banner and logo, so make sure to check regularly for those!

great new video that shows a lot of new futures!!

at 2:07 min.s something strange happened, the player figure did get killed and his body moved all over the place, but i assume that this
is just a bug, it only happened ones.

i loved the weapon that the player has at the start of the video, but i did get the feeling that it is a bit to powerful for a normal weapon, or does the player has this weapon not all the time, (it also can be that the weapon isn't that strong, but that the sound of it makes it 'feel' like a much stronger weapon.

all in all, great progress guys!!

Haha yeah, we are using gibbing to allow for gratuitous gore but the temporary model for the player isnt skinned for it so their is allot of stretching. It will be fixed once we get new model in.

The gun at the beginning (the Mini-gun), will only be available at certain times, it wont always be with the player. Its for allowing one man to mow down armies and have limbs fly everywhere :P.

I would suggest implementing a killstreak-style feature, allowing the player to call bombing runs or a helicopter of some sort.

Yes, we have already got some abilities, such as air strikes and ammo drops etc, these will make their way into a video log once we fine tune them a little more for you guys.

It has been significantly changed as of that video. We should be releasing a new one soon with a different layout. Feedback on which one you think works better would be awesome.
