REBUILD - RPG MAKER MZ

On and off over the past year I've been fiddling with the RPG. I didn't make much progress with the sequel update (Tournament Saga) and I wasn't overly happy with a lot of the design. Since RPG Maker MZ came out, I decided to take the opportunity to rebuild much of it in the newer engine.

A lot of the mechanics are the same, but I've taken the opportunity to completely redesign the maps. Instead of one big map, all the maps are smaller ones stitched together (similar to the way LOG does it). This means I can add more detail to specific areas than have a heap of wasted space.

I also took the opportunity to rework some of the sprites. Spriting is really not my thing, so I did my best to adjust existing sprites from the LOG series to match costumes and designs from the original series. This means that Yamcha is no longer in his Android Saga appearance (something that even they couldn't be bothered with in the first LOG game) and Bulma is wearing a pink dress rather than her Namek outfit. Goku is also sporting his blue gi.

Along with the redesigns of sprite, I adjusted the scaling. Previously they were scaled up 1.5x to meet the dimensions from RPG Maker. This made them look passable but close-up they looked very skewed. To overcome this, I doubled the size which seemed to work quite well.

I'm really not sure how many people actually went as far to download and play this. But for those of you who did, thank you very much. I hope you come around for this version!
