I love the aircraft in the 3rd screenshot, they look great. The cube in the last screenshot seems interesting, what is it?

S.Q.U.A.R.E.

Actually the 2 shots on the grey planet look okay. The other 2 are a bit... too far zoomed in for an RTS perhaps :P

If I recall, the Spring Engine itself has always been one to prioritize gameplay and primarily strategy and tactics over graphics. Unless I'm horribly mistaken, Spring's main element was/is a Total Annihilation game.

It's been a while but when I last tried TA Spring, they were working on multiple play modes, being able to control a single unit in the TA Spring RTS in a first person view. It was clunky, but the basic mechanism were present, and some of these could easily be shots from a low-flying aircraft.

Would'nt need to be, theres a variety of camera modes in the Spring engine and one of those happens to be a fps like free camera. And yes you can possess units, it's a bit of a gimmick but it makes a nice side track form the rts and let's you play around with the units a bit.

Yeah, I'm just playing around with the camera there. There are emulations of the Total War POV, different free cams, and classic overhead views, and you can zoom in / out over the entire map, SupCom-style, down to the grass, if you want. Sorry if that's confusing to people who aren't familiar with Spring.

Great work, good to see another engine get going and have the look of some of the commercial releases. Hoping it has the game play mechanics working well also.

Sorry, it is not a new engine, but a game on the Spring engine... just as cool...

Yeah, we're using Spring as our engine, but this isn't an OTA-style game, more StarCraft / Dawn of War in places, as gameplay continues to get built.
