Here is the latest in our new weekly Overgrowth alpha format! David himself took some time to illustrate the traditional changelog in video form.
Don't forget that you can help support us, try out our weekly alphas (such as the one in the video), and chat with other preorderers in the Secret Preorder Forum by preordering Overgrowth.
Be sure to watch it in HD!
The features highlighted in the above video are as follows (among some extra ones thrown in for good measure):
- Added 'editor-mode' toggle for config, when 'false' game jumps right into gameplay
- Added player spawnpoints and enemy patrols to all levels
- Enemy hostility is on by default
- Rebuilt terrain caches for alpha
- Added nav meshes to alpha
- More stable AI character physics
- Fixed batching identical objects with different detail textures
- Added 'player' tag for character objects
- Added level reset and exposed to script
- Fix for back-and-forth patrols
- Fixed some memory leaks
Thanks as always for all the support! See you guys in IRC and the forums.
Also, feel free to support us by preordering Overgrowth!

I hear playability is a must these days.
Everything is coming together well, guys.
Keep it up!
Does anyone else think '125' is a really unattractive number?
I love the 125 :)
I am testing every 25th apha to get a bigger "wooooow" effect so 125 is a nice number (also make this with tv-series... waiting 25 weeks to watch many episodes without having to wait fo the next one).
So for me this is a really great update. I can check now the first "this lokks like a game when you jump in and also can play it"-Alpha and in 25 weeks ( :'( I hate waiting, but I still can watch a alpha-video every week:) ) I can compare how much the game itself have improved :)
Ooh, that's a good plan.
But 25 weeks is a REALLY LONG TIME. D;
I just think it had a bad sound to it.
"One twenty-five."
I dunno.
Badass wolf.
This game is only on steam ? Or it be in shops ? I love that i have a box at home with manual or somethink more than legal downloaded copy..
Thanks for reply .
Boxed version seems unlikely, as there's all kind of hasling around getting it out. Publisher etc...
You do know there's more than "just Steam", right?
You can preorder the game right now and skip the DRM that Steam has.
looks awesome!
Looking awesome
Awesome work as always guys!
Looks really great - I particularly like how the Rabbit's animated when he's turning while running. Great work on the animations.
Bless all of you for making this steam independent <3
Looks nice..
Really cool. The game is on, now populate it :)
Great work!
This is great news! The game really is starting to take shape now. Fun stuff!
