We are pleased to announce the continued development of Mine Tycoon!

Posted by on

Over the last few weeks, I been pondering the future of Mine Tycoon. Tossing ideas back and forth of what game we will do next, as our current game, Cannon Blaster! is finishing up soon(Go play it when it comes out!) and we will be left to choose our next game. Now, I really wanted to jump right back into Mine Tycoon, but sadly, it's going to take 2 months to just model the assets we need. So on that note, we are doing a small mobile game to fill this gap of time, between now and Mine Tycoon.

Searching the internet one day, I came across a new engine, which will work perfect for Mine Tycoon, resulting in the perfect gaming experience. This engine, The Terrain Engine, a very expensive plug in voxel engine for unity, will be Mine Tycoons power plant. This engine, solves the many problems we would of had before, resulting in a much sooner playable game.

As we begin to move forward again with Mine Tycoon, please give us feedback on features you would like to see. As I'm sure you know, Mine Tycoon will let you dig anywhere with equipment with guidance of course. One new feature that I thought about this week is a duel Joystick control.

Setting up 2 joysticks, on either side of your keyboard, will allow you to have realistic controls of excavators, dozers, and some other equipment. At a cost of 30$ per joystick, It is not that expensive for the average player. Are these joysticks mandatory? not at all! They just bring your gaming experience to a new level. The nice thing about Mine Tycoon, with this feature, anyone thinking of going into a construction field, or heavy equipment, can get some basic knowledge of controls. We want to immerse the player into the game on a totally new level, and with everything we want to do, Mine Tycoon will be the ultimate simulator for equipment.

Once we get some more information ready, we will let everyone know the progress, in the mean time, share with your friends.

Thank you all for your continued support!

Nice :) The 360 and PS3 controllers have 2 joysticks already (as well as many 3rd party gamepads). Why not just let your controls use those? I would only advise to have solid controls. Controls make or break a game. If they don't feel right to you, they won't feel right to us the gamers.

We are going to include Keyboard, PS3, Xbox, and Joysticks for controllers.

The Joystick control will be the most realistic, as most equipment uses joysticks.
