This week, in "Kurofune: Descobrimos Portugueses", we will cover the current and future changes in Art.
Hello everyone, we are back! Welcome to another article from 3PAStudios. As we talked in the last post, so much has changed that we couldn't possibly cover it all in only one post, so here is the section of art, the current state and future plans. We are starting to be more active on our socials, website, discord, twitter and instagram, so drop by, chat a bit and share your thoughts, we want to know more about the people that follow us!
How we are.
As you can see, we made improvements to the overhaul game in various aspects, finally the art is coming together between everything in the game, but there is still a lot to do!
Current Changes!
So, we did some monuments. We felt like since this game is heavily inspired by the history and culture of different regions, we decided to add monuments, historically accurate to the time when the game is played on, it being the 16th century.
We tried our best to do the research of the different places and discovered the monuments of each region that were not only a big landmark of those places but also relevant for the theme of the game. These monuments were usually made by the colonists to mark their new land, but also some churches and naval ports that were the main central of different countries to sent ships.
We are also currently working on clouds for the game, these are just some of our styles we are researching, this will be seen only from the top and serve as a field of view for the player, limiting what the player can see at any point. In the future these clouds will have different variations and in order to tackle the different climates, we will also have different colored clouds to symbolize storms and other environments.
Future Changes?!?!
In the future we are thinking of adding some life to our map, currently our map is barren, and we want to have some variation. By adding some forest and animals we can simulate some wild and natural life, and by adding some small houses and farms around the cities, it will look populated.
Well, for now that's it, this is just a small sample of what we have been doing and there is more to show so be sure to follow us and stay up to date on our development.
As always, don't forget to wishlist our game on Steam:
We hope you enjoyed to see our journey so far!
See you next week,
