Post news RSS Kickstarter Funding Unsuccessful - What Next?

So what do we plan to do next? We do aim to return to Kickstarter in the future however before we do so, we aim to really go serious with the game and cut no corners.

Hey everyone,

Unfortunately as you can see we didn't make our funding goal for Middle of Nowhere. We apologize for not updating along the way, we planned to but sadly when we reached about 2 weeks in, we could see that the project had a high chance of failing. We thought we would let it go to the end to be good sports about the whole thing but the reason we knew it had a high chance of failing is because we had a tremendous view count for the money we was asking for, lots of YouTubers helping spread the word, steam greenlight 50% of the way done, tons of press and lots of traffic but within the huge traffic only a small amount of people backed the project and this is where we thought we need to really sit and think about our strategy and concept for the game because we are listening to the fact not many people backed it which means its just something people dont want that much.

So what do we plan to do next? We do aim to return to Kickstarter in the future however before we do so, we aim to really go serious with the game and cut no corners. We will have a very important and in depth design document, structured and finished with a new concept before we go into development of the game and when we return, we hope to bring something new to the genre. Well, not that this will make the project fly and make everybody want this game, but you could always broadens your supporters base by developing for Linux and OS X too....
