From the beginning of the development, scripting the input wasn't thought to be an easy task - as Unity input manager can't be scripted in runtime natively. Problem was solved using cInput - custom input manager plugin for Unity.
As I'm 'coding' a big part of this game in Playmaker - visual scripting tool - I was using custom Playmaker actions to initialize default keys, get and set cInput functions and do other input-related things.

Awesome! Love the samples for the drums.. You should look into mapping electronic drum-sets.
looks nice but nothing beats the old fashion way of learning drums.
