I'm sorry for all that delay. As I mentioned in one of the comments, I needed a vacation. Working on this mod leaves me sometimes under more pressure than you could think, as I am amongst other things a perfectionist. But now I'm back to work.
The chief objective for the next weeks will be to make huge preparations for the creations of brand new map I announced, which due to the very unpleasant setback was suspended. I came to the conclusion that creating new map will call for far larger preparation than I believed, but I'm all the more enthusiastic to make it happen and thus the preparations are ongoing.
With enough luck I will finish them soon and start making the map itself, which shouldn't take very long if all will be properly prepared. Then I will be able to finally show you something more than scraps and ideas, something that will make mod a reality.
With the new map, I will also be able to start preparing the release of early alpha version of the mod itself too.
Third, some of you may have already noticed that I created a forum on our mod's site. It will give me an opportunity to share my ideas and concepts with all ModDB users, something that was previously restricted to FB fans (because it was much easier to put short news there). Check the forum frequently for news on progress and concepts that will be included in the mod. I also created a board for you to create your own threads, where you can put questions, suggestions, ideas, whatever might contribute to the mod itself. I will check it frequently too and answer all of them.
Fourth, I once again encourage all those with modding abilities - be it knowledge of modding CK II, graphic abilities (heavily desired) or something else - to contact me if you want to somehow contribute to development of Ancient Kings. Modding is a hell of a lot work, plus as I frequently mentioned I'm terrible at graphic stuff, so any help will be appreciate and credited. Thanks either way for all the support I already received from any of you guys.
That is all from me now, I can't promise when the map will be finished, but I can promise that as soon as it will be, I won't hestitate to inform you and show you some of it.

Heh. I know. I'm just pumped to play it, or rather to see my hard work complete :D Plus, I sometimes feel awful that I'm practically doing something everyday and there is nothing to show you still xD Plus, making the map will be a huge step, huge enough to make mod - as I mentioned above - real. It would no longer be just a project.
Don't feel bad, I for one would rather play something that's really well made in like 5-6 months than something that was poorly made in a couple weeks

Not really. At this point and seeing that Paradox wants to once again go godzilla on my work because of the new expansion's map changes, I can't really tell. I'd like to finish it as soon as possible, but then again, RL stuff bumps up on me every once in a while, so truth be told - keeping a good pace is extremely hard, sometimes even impossible. Sorry for that, but I can promise that I'll continue working and once it's done - it'll be marvellous. ;)

Hey man, we haven't heard anything for a really long time... What has been going on? Progress?
Ah, I apologize. RL pressure mostly and the scarcity of sources. I got kinda stuck trying to find information on ancient settlements in Ethiopia and Nubia. There are very few sources available on that subject. I promise I'll try to fix it as soon as possible.
But seriously, I know I screwed up my working schedule. Kill me if I don't make some serious submission by the end of September. ;)
If you need help, I have lots of free time atm.
Just ask me and give me something to do, and I'll start researching.
Well, at the moment I'm working on reference maps for Germania (roughly the area between rivers Rhine and Vistula) and Scandinavia, as well as that half-baked Ethiopia and Nubia map. Locations and names of all the ancient settlements/tribes in the area is what I'm particularily after.
Apart from that, locations and names of Scytho-Sarmatian tribes in Europe (everything west of Ural range), as well as other peoples, like Baltic and Finno-Ugric tribes in that area, especially prior to the Great Migrations.
