The W.H.D team has some new sample images from inside both 3D Studio Max and Unreal Engine 5 for "Project Orion". These are all blockout renders for testing and make use of the Arnold Render Plugin. As you will see in the samples from inside of Unreal Engine 5. The test renders and associated shaders, materials and emissive lighting created in 3D Studio Max provide an important function. The atmosphere is then used as a visual reference to create the same qualities within Unreal Engine 5. One of the great things about UE5 is the new Nanite system for importing meshes with high poly counts and making use of the functions that control depth range for processing large detailed environments. The Nanite system allows designers a great deal of freedom for current and next generation game development by greatly reducing the concern for polygon budgeting. The newer Lumen system for UE5 is also another great advancement for current and next generation games for functions that control fully dynamic global illumination and reflections. She did an amazing job making several to scale poses including front, back, 45° front, 45° back, top & bottom angles fitted to our 3d character model. W.H.D is always glad to promote talent that we work with, for individuals, game developers, etc who are looking for a quality Concept Artist to hire for commissions. The Wicked Horizon Designs sound team music highlight:
The W.H.D team is pleased to announce our partnership with Music Producer Kyle Misko who will work in conjunction with our in-house sound team for Project Orion's original Ost. Each member of our sound team brings exceptional talent into our game project. Kyle has created music for several different titles in the indie game scene and in numerous other genres. Most notable are his game Ost remakes & remixes “Re-visited by Kyle Misko.” He has completely recomposed the soundtrack for “Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen & Soul Reaver” and wrote music for indie side project “Dark Renaissance.” Additionally, he recomposed the main theme for “Myst.” Remixed soundtracks for “Riven, Diablo, Warcraft, Gothic” and many other titles. His personal work includes such titles as “Dead Fury, Cyberthreat, Silica Nexus Project, Total Miner, Snoot's Adventure, Daybringer, Griff the Winged Lion” and many more exciting titles that are yet to be released. Kyle has also released 2 full scale electronic albums "Life Infused Music, Part 1 & 2" under "Dj Axaw" pseudonym, as well as an Indie / Alternative Rock EP's "Spring Thoughts & Amelioration.”
Kyle is also Vocalist, and a guitar player. He also occasionally records vocal covers on different bands from the 90s as well as was a lead guitarist and singer in 3 bands up to today" From Orchestral (Cinematic, Dramatic, Classical) to Rock (Alternative, Grunge, Hard Rock, Metal) to Electronic (Ambience, Sci Fi, House Music, Drum n Bass) to Hip Hop (Phonk and Pop) to Traditional Music (done mixes on Native American Music as well Ancient Roman Music). Kyle is a young and ambitious musician, and his diverse works and talents are an excellent addition to the W.H.D sound team.
Our in-house music team Remy "Chao" R., a talented guitarist and former drummer & Kimberly A, a beat maker and ambient electronic artist will create some nice S.F.X. Chao brings a great aspect of rock to go with our synth sci-fi vibe. Remy has a great affinity for Neural D.S.P music software. With these 3 diverse individuals and talents, Chao, Kimmy & Kyle will create a fantastic dynamic music immersion atmosphere for the Project Orion game universe.

Here are some snapshots of very early preliminary work our team is creating for an action 3rd person jrpg hack & slash game. The style draws upon some various inspirations from cel-shade anime, cyberpunk, Tron, etc. The atmosphere and play style draws on inspiration from games like Bloodborne, Metroid, Kingdom Hearts. The 3D modeling of characters and environments is being created using 3D Studio Max & Blender and we are using Unreal Engine for execution. Right now we are testing various systems and H.U.D properties as well as a parkour system. Some accents inside of the shown environments come from purchased content in the Unreal marketplace. The Wicked Horizon team (us) are happy to support and promote the work of content creators who develop systems, assets and various other content that help indie developers create their games. Links to content made use of in these images can be purchased by anyone in the UE4 marketplace and will be provided below. Right now we are just getting started with this project and we will post updates when time allows. We will not go into details about the story or various surprises we have in-store at this point but we hope you enjoy a brief look behind the scenes at what we are working on.
