It probably is mostly nostalgia, but now it also has so much pointless stuff in it. Things like the Enderdragon. There is absolutely no purpose to killing it, for all you get is an egg which, at the moment, does nothing. The pointless hunger bar, like Warner said, and pretty much no consequence for death. Sure you might loose some items, but by the time you die you will have the materials to make everything you had and more. The nether is still very boring and even after the bland, and stale fortresses were added to it. Whenever I do play the up to date versions, I don't even worry about food. I just kill myself and respawn back at my base or the checkpoints I make for that specific reason. The new sounds, in my opinion, are horrendous. I believe they should've had kept with the more cartoony sounds. The lackluster RPG elements in place like the XP bar with the only purpose of using a terribly made enchanting system. The potions are bad and are just too much trouble than it is worth. It has pretty much no originality aside from the mining and building. Creepers were a complete accident, zombies are boring and in pretty much everything, skeletons that shoot arrows are just a cliché, etc. The terrible dev team is another reason. They have more unfulfilled promises than Bethesda and Peter Molyneux combined. Anyways, sorry for the wall of text, kinda got carried away. Have a great day!

Yeah, that's pretty much what I always do if I play, or use the Olddays mod. It's just a shame with all the wasted potential, at least in my eyes. I just wished they stuck with more building and mining than trying to make an adventure-based game.

Am I the only one who regrets buying Minecraft more and more after seeing updates about it?
