I'm glad you found an ingenious way to play the game solo! You have a lot of good ideas and a lot of these things we have discussed but aren't sure about or haven't implemented yet.

We originally were going to have fighter craft and may down the road, it all depends on how well we can get unit movement and AI to work!

As for turning off the planet orbits, thanks for reminding me! We had talked about that option but never implemented it and I think we forgot about that idea. We'll probably put that in as an option down the road!

And if you're looking to play, we host a Game with the Devs event every Saturday at 3pm Eastern time! Or we can always set up another time for a match, we're always up for playing our game :)

The ship designer camera is purposely limited right now. Being an RTS that's played from a top down/isometric view and those ships in the designer are the same ones you bring into battle we kept the details low on the bottoms. You'll never see the bottom of the ships in combat so we figured it was just easier to not worry about them, at least for now!

We definitely won't have AI in the next release but we're looking at game modes and AI for single players. No promises as AI is really hard but we're working on it :)

I know its a little lame right now that we have it multiplayer only and barely anyone playing it. I try and look for games during the week when I'm around. We also have a planned Game with the Devs time, every Saturday at 3pm Eastern so look for us then!

And thanks, I'm glad its starting to look good! I'm not entirely sure on the plan but we may try a kickstarter and making it a cheap-ish game on release.

Oh! Also, I think I saw your lobby up but I was having trouble connecting... Our UPnP doesn't work very well with all routers so you may want to try forwarding your ports (5130 and 5127 both TCP and UPD). We're working on that issue!

I just haven't included a link here yet since we haven't been able to test it out and see if it even works correctly :) Feel free to try that for now!

Will do! We're working on the final pieces to the next update and I'll have a Linux and Mac build included in it!

The Next version will indeed have a download for both Linux and Mac! I can't promise they won't be buggy but they should work!

As for AI, I would absolutely love it but we don't have plans in the near future. AI programming is extremely difficult (at least for us). But we definitely want to give more options to single players sometime soon!

Awesome! We haven't put a download link to the Linux or Mac versions yet because we haven't been able to easily and thoroughly test them. We will have them up soon though (Linux will be before Mac)!
