Afaik : If you buy it on Desura you get a Steam key too. If you buy it via Steam you get the Steam key only.

It's the same game like 'strategic war in europe'. Just another theatre. Not worth the money imho. The next 6 days you can get both cheap at bundle-in-a-box.

If it takes more than 14 days to replace a file with a newer one , then those guys probably approve the update manually and bitwise.

Why the heck is the pc version still 1211 ?
I am not willing to install the client , but obviously you are a 2nd class customer if you do not.
Wish I knew that before I spent money here on desura :/
