to be frank, i'm not sold on the title either, but i couldn't think of anything better. i was listening to chemlab at the time, figured i might as well take a bit from that.

i don't plan on adding any more weapons for three reasons:
1. i think the current replacers are adequate enough (maybe in need of balancing at most),
2. lugging around 5 guns is already a bit counter-intuitive to the whole speed theme,
3. i simply don't own any more guns that i can take photos of and put into the mod.

i'll see what i can do and how far i can bend it until it goes too far from the source material. could certainly try tweaking them.
the weapon sounds came from the game this mod's based on and i don't want to mess with them too much. the amount of guns i plan to end up with would also make it hard to give them all unique sound effects.
again, i'll try making some tweaks. thanks.

war. living far on the worse side of the berlin wall is fun.
i was still active and working during that time, simply unsure just for how long. at that time, the hot zone was dangerously close to where i live. things have calmed down now though.

should already be compatible with most of the enemy replacers, provided they drop vanilla doom's guns and not some custom items.
i have to admit here that not every skill will work on enemies from other mods. these skills would require either patches for enemy packs or some heavy scripting that's beyond my ability for now.
if there are any enemy packs that don't work well with this mod, please let me know and i'll see what can be done.

much appreciated, thanks. i've been aiming to make the core gameplay somewhat complex, but not filled with unnecessary crap. i'm planning to spice it up with custom enemies as well, their mechanics being a lot of fun to figure out. however, graphics and sounds are a pain to make, i must admit.

that's why i don't want to guarantee mobile compatibility. for all i know, compatibility may vary wildly from port to port, from device to device.
delta touch seems to be the only solid mobile port out there, but the fact that it's paid just doesn't sit quite right with me. i suppose that's just how the mobile scene is.

the issue with the stg44 isn't with the rifle itself, but with its cartridge. according to what i've read, the 7.92 kurz was simply too weak to launch grenades.
let's just pretend we're using hotter loads in this mod.

frankly, i don't know anything about mobile source ports, their capabilities or limitations, nor do i even have a way to test mobile compatibility.
if it works on mobile in its current state, that's great, but keeping it mobile-friendly isn't a priority for me, sorry.

truth be told, in the six days since i wrote that announcement, the entire situation went in an unexpected, optimistic direction. i can't say yet it's going to end well for certain, but chances are the russian invasion is going to fail. this week might be the pivotal point.
this has to be the most bizarre war i've ever seen.

i'm glad you're enjoying it, thank you.
the thing with pistols is that each weapon class has a passive ability, roughly corresponding to the traits of character/gun classes in girls' frontline - the game this mod is based on. i don't know how familiar you are with girls' frontline, let me explain just in case.
in that game, pistols grant increased visibility during night battles. doom lacks day/night cycles, so i've decided to simplify it - equipping pistols simply grants increased brightness in all areas.
i admit that i didn't consider it being a potential problem. instead of an automatic brightness increase on equip, i'll make it a toggle-able ability for pistols in the next update.

thank you, i appreciate the support.
i'm trying to stay as close as possible to the original game in the case of skills. some just aren't that fun to use in a shooter, turns out. there's only so much enjoyment out of a speed or defense increase.
balance is all over the place as of now, i'm aware, it'll be adjusted in future updates. most damage values were based off the dolls' base stats, exceptions being shotguns and .50 caliber guns. one thing i'm tempted to try is to decrease damage dealt only slightly and increase damage received, in a way similar to stalker's difficulty settings.
sangvis ferri enemies will come when they're ready. i don't really have an eta. however, i'll most likely release the enemy pack once i replace a half or so of the original enemy roster. due to some difficulties, i'm currently at roughly 1/3rd of the cast. apologies for slow progress.
as for paradeus and kcco, i've been heavily considering adding them, kcco especially. for now, though, i want to focus on sangvis units.
