Is that ogre just a texture on a plane? It looks flat. ;)

I am very interested in this editor, because Ogitor looked confusing and hard-to-use. I prefer an editor to be somewhat simple and as easy-to-use as possible.
No. You could program that functionality yourself, though.
You can use the Flex SDK with FlashDevelop as a free alternative. It is actually a lot better in many ways than developing within the Flash IDE.
I look at screenshots, which grab my attention. Then, the genres the game is categorized under. Then, the description and the system requirements. I typically want to see very low system requirements because that signals that the game is optimized well or at least would run easily on my hardware.
Finally, I watch videos on YouTube to get a feel for the gameplay elements and the way the menu system works. I also like to see if I like the animations that way. A game could look awesome in screenshots but then be animated horribly. A recent example would be Dungeon Defenders, which has very unexciting animation but looks extremely pretty in screenshots.
I think kids pirate games because their parents won't buy the games they want. They become sneaky and get all those games they secretly want... like Barbie Horse Adventure.
A lot of the indie titles have similar quality to the AAA titles that I play. I play mostly indie titles because they are much cheaper and sometimes free. I also play a lot of AAA games, though, because I play a lot of retro PS1 and N64 titles, for example. ;)
