It won't be soon. There were some people who were continuing on the next version for DH version 1.03 plus implemented a new map. I don't know how much progress they've really made. The last time I checked on that trial version it was quite incomplete, with starting units sitting out in the Wastelands for example.

I plan to look at this mod again in July 2014. No promises on whether I'll work on it again. I'm pretty happy with the final result for Darkest Hour 1.02. I did always want to add the Pacific Islands to the mod though, so I may do some more work. We'll see.

So during that event chain, you should get one of several outcomes when they actually find the UFO. It could be an alien brain boosting machine, an alien power source, or similar. Did you get that?

The "Never Was" event was created to sleep ***** as a leader. There is one outcome in that event chain where you fail to find the UFO due to interference by the descendants of the Smoking Man. If that happens, ***** will stay with your nation and become a military leader.

So I had to create a "Never Was" event to remove that leader if they do find the UFO.

Hi mate, come to Paradox Interactive forums, and post in our thread which is in the Darkest Hour mods section. I and others will be happy to help with your issue. You might also want to read the first post in that thread which has instructions on how to install the mod. I think you've installed it incorrectly.

I don't have a timeframe yet. There is a new map with more provinces which fixes a big bug that stopped me from making the mod compatible with 1.03. So another release with the new map will be 1.03 compatible. I'll work on it in the new year.

Yes, I am trying. There is a bug. A mod contributor is working on a more detailed map with many more provinces. The bug does not trigger with his version. However, I don't think I'll be able to include his work in the next release. So I'm hoping for a bug fix from the Darkest Hour developers. It is possible that the next release of the mod may not be 1.03 compatible. I will certainly keep on the mod till it is. I'm a slow modder though.

DH 1.03 has the option for some radical improvements to the combat system. I would really like to include some of those improvements into the mod. It would be quite a bit of work I think. Let's see how I go in the coming weeks and months.

X Marks the Spot? Well, that's how these regions are marked on my map, Pilgrim. I've heard it said that there are pre-War treasures to be had there. Real unscavenged facilities, maybe even a lost Vault. I kid you not! But only if you're brave enough and have enough guns to make it out alive, that's the trouble.

Listen, I'll sell you my copy of the map for 1000 bottlecaps and you can send your troops to these regions to find out for yourself; what do you say? Is it a deal?

Every patch release is cumulative and contains all the previous patches.

You made a copy of DH installation and patched it to 1.02 as per install instructions, right?

Yes. Make sure you copy your Darkest Hour folder and call it something else. Patch it to 1.02. Then install the mod into that folder along with release 2.0.10 and hotfixes. You can create a desktop shortcut to the copy of Darkest Hour in that folder. Choose the mod and you can start playing.

You need Darkest Hour, which was developed from the original Hearts of Iron 2 game but is actually a completely separate game.

Those first two errors are referring to technology specialities. I just did a search in all mod tech files and don't get any hits on matehmatics. Did you mistype it?

Anyway, the technology components are stored in the file \config\tech_names.csv. Mine has a date stamp of 28/05/2011. Open it and you can find these components.

My datestamp for \db\events\the_huns.txt is 16/09/2012.

Go to your root folder for the copy of Darkest Hour that you are running the mod from. Find this file settings.cfg and open it using a text editor. Set Extra Debug Logs to 1. This will create a file called savedebug.txt in your root game folder. This will give you clues on errors.

I can only think that you might have a corrupt download. Follow the installation directions very closely. Make a copy of the DH game, install patch 1.02, download the mod version 2.0 executable and run it. This will launch an installer. Read the instructions from the installer. You should end with a folder called \xxxxx\Mods\FODD where xxxxx is the folder for your copy of Darkest Hour. You will find all the mod files inside the FODD folder. Game has to be set to English.

Otherwise, come to our forum.

Soon! I'm working actively on the next release. It's been more than a year but I haven't been modding very much. I'm now regularly working on it each week. I post updates on the Paradox forum for Darkest Hour.

That can only happen if you've set your game to a language apart from English. Change the settings to English and you'll get the text.

For DH 1.02, English only. Check you have a \mods\FODD folder with files inside.
