Looks great, I just need a way to animate all the wheels on the lasher tank... >_<

You have no choice but to use an additional draw module for the extra wheels.
Or animate them - after all, I need to animate the grinder anyway (or just hope that noone ever notices).
Couldn't you just add the grinder has another wheel?
Your proposed way will mean that you have far more control, and lower draw calls, although I wonder if it is worth the extra effort.
Just make them regular wheels and give them suspension. This gives a much better impression of movement than rotation wheels, which no one will be able to see in the first place.
