An update for the lack of an update :D
Hey guys,
So rather then just leave this week with what would look like nothing i still want to post something that lets everyone know what we have been doing just there is currently a lack of images so what have we been working on well actually quite alot but its all behind the scenes stuff currently we have been working on and have working:
Sprint
Crouch
Jump
Companion Following
Companion sprinting
Radial Menu with effects
Hunger system for the companion
Health system
Health and Hunger bars currently in the players viewport though this is up for change what i want is for the pet to show hunger by animating to exclude the need for a bar
What we are currently working on
Radial Menu implementation so that you have to be aiming at the companion to make it appear currently you can make it appear anytime by pressing x for testing purposes
Item inventory/list so that we can start feeding the companion the intended way rather then pressing F to fill the creature up this is currently this way just for testing purposes as well
And then we plan to take the companion further currently it feels very un-natural how the companion follows even if it is just a placeholder object so looking at ways we can have the pet moving around while the player idles.
There has been alot of work but rather then just show blueprints or pictures of unfinished stuff i want to wait till next week to give a bigger more beautiful article for everyone to see.
