Hi Slugdisco! I'm a big fan and love the game. I have a question: I recently joined a dev team for this own indie project I am working on and would like to know what kind of ads did you employ in order to get started and published to steam?? Any guidance would be awesome for us! thanks
Sorry, we missed this. We never bought any ads, a lot of the the original promotion came from our Kickstarter, and from Youtubers finding the game demo via indiedb

How do I open this unzipped file? The exe file does not start the game. 35yearvet
I've been trying to find a place for submitting suggestions, because I have an idea that might add to game play without loosing the spirit of the game or taking away from what already exists. Right now it's strategic digging, gathering, propagating and defending/ attacking. But what about aphid farming? As a new food source you come across or seek out little root aphid farms underground that are being guarded by enemy swarms. If gathering food later extends to the surface then aphid farming also works above ground. They produce a small, but consistent amount of honeydew to be harvested and the more farms you find and secure the more food is being continually produced. Predators will attack the helpless aphids on sight just like they will your queen, so you might wind up needing to leave a garrison to guard them in a hostile area. In particularly difficult levels seeking out and securing farms as fast as possible could be a survival strategy.
Well, I fell like an idiot... I put on the game for the first time in awhile and saw that there's a place for feedback and suggestions linked right from home screen! And to make things worse I think I might have mentioned aphid farming there before and just completely forgot about it!
We do actually have aphid farming planned. You will have a choice you can farm them for long term gains, or just consume them for a quick boost. Aphid predators is a good idea.
