Subpar visuals, aesthetics, sound, environments... everything. As a first go at making a game, it's fine, but I'm definitely glad I didn't have to pay for it.

Also, the ending? Snore.

Absolutely chilling atmosphere, enough clues to get you thinking but not enough to give away too much about the terrifying things waiting for you in the caves. Horror developers take not: this is how it's done. Follow the example set by Frictional, and you can't go wrong.

... Anyone else remember when Silent Hill was this good?
