Just a random German guy who is interested in mods. I have some mapping experience with various engines and in game tools for private purposes manly.

Sure!

The year started a bit buisy. I hope I can find some time to write a tutorial on this matter next week.

I tried to import a skeleton into Blender and Maya but without success. Gues I will have to rig the models myself, import the new skeletons into DoD and edit the joints in toolbag.

The skelton files in the folders look like they are made with Maya so I will try to figure it out.

Hello!

I've managed to find DoD .obj files on this site

P3dm.ru

I can alter the models with blender and then import the objects into the game by making them .mesh files via the toolbag and by configuring the .guy files with notepad++.
First thing I did was to finally get the German helmets historically accurate.

So in a way you CAN create every possible scenario :D

But I am still figuring out how to attach the models to the skeletons in the game, so they can be animated. I can configure the skeletons and ragdolls from other  models  in the .guy files, but the added meshes won't move. I am sure that I am missing a link somewhere.

Got any Idea on how I can attach an existing skeleton to the .mesh?

Hey guys!

I am currently making a map/mod which takes place in the Battle of the Somme. As a side project if there is a blockade making "Gettysburg". I am using a Battle map to make the map as historically accurate as possible but...the characters taking part in the battle are Russians. Not very historically accurate.
Is anyone here experienced in making/alter models? I tried to convert import the .mesh files into 3dMax but my knowledge using this software and modeling itself is very limited.

Installation:

- Simply put the folder "Gettysburg" into your "DoD/base/level" directory
- After starting the game hit the console key, enter "load base/level/Gettysburg/Gettysburg2.hab" and then hit Enter
- Or you can use the "Level Launcher" by DoDoCat to load the map

thank you for the advice :)
i also figured out a way to make the maps as authentic as possible by creating a custom texture with an original map of the battlefield. also speeds the mapping up a bit ;)

it seems that the Radiant for CoD1/UO is not as rich on features as the later versions (gvertex,prefabs,etc.)...but i gues i'm getting the idea :)

Hey! Grat mod guys! Lots of potential here!

I wouild like to make some maps for CoD just to see how it works out. If it works out well I would like to make something like Juno Beach, Monte Cassino etc. Do you have any advice where I can find a good tutorial for Radiant ( hotkeys, terrain, textures, etc.) to get the idea quickly? Do you use any other programs?

Thx and keep up the grat work :)

I agree with heonpt...would be soooooo epic if you could make waves of Bots storming to the seawall like in the Stalingrad mission of the original game ;)

Wow! Nice one! Can you make a tutorial on how to mod Empire Earth? Or at least tell us how to open data files properly to see the useful information for modding? ;)

Great work! Keep it up mate :)

Thank you for your advice :) I'll try to find out more about the 3D models and who knows maybe there is a simple way to edit them ;)
Just downloaded some of your work and now I'm even more impressed! Very good work!!!

As you know it is possible to add new units to the game. I would like to use your textures to test it if its OK for you :)

Man I love your Empire Earth textures :) Can't wait to make new maps and use your wonderfull units in them! How about some nice WW2 and WW1 units so I can make some historical scenarios? ;)
Some other question: I tried to mod the 3D models for Empire Earth but I just can't find any software that is able to modify the .cem files...do you have any idea?
Thank you and keep on the good work! :)

Hey Leute!
