Hi
I really love the visual effects on this hexagonal background :) Are these hexagons separate objects or is it a pure shader effect?

Hi
The news are coming, but some things need to be sorted out first. And yes, UE4 is a very nice engine... ;)
Thx for all the comments
It would be great if you could post about our campaign somewhere :)
Indiegogo.com
It will really, really make a difference
Yes, there will be quite a lot of crowd on the tracks, you can already see it in some parts of the pre-alpha video. We want to make the crowd with it's sounds an important part of the atmosphere. It simply must feel like a sport, and the one with THE LARGE SCALE. And the answer about Kickstarter is already above :)
Legal reasons, we had no real options to make it through US or UK. Living in Europe does have its disadvantages from time to time... But please make sure to spread the news among your friends, maybe someone will like it enough to pledge ;)
thx :) there is still a lot of work to do, but the progress we are getting at this stage works like a drug ;)
Really nice work, just keep up this quality for everything else. The one thing I would consider is putting some more tiny details on the normal maps of the wooden parts.
thx, I hope that with the new screens and the first location "tour", that are coming, it will get even more interesting ;)
Why is there no clear notification on new comments on indiedb? Or am I missing something...? Sorry for such a late response, didn't see your question, but yes you are right, this is the theme for the main menu. And I hope that you will also like the rest of stuff :)
Thanks, I'm happy that you like it. And that "no blood shadow" thing is exacatly the kind of feedback we need :)
As for the speed of developement... on one hand we did quite a lot of testing, etc in the past year, and on the other hand Unity does let you to work fast when you know what you want from it :)
Sure thing :) We are also considering some dynamically modified music during the races, influenced by the events on the track. But this idea will have to wait until the reception of the game.
Well, the concept with "dynamic" music is something we are considering for later stages, it's going to be freaking hard to do it right ;)
So far, as it comes to music, we are focused on creating some nice tracks, with inspirations ranging from TRON to Blade Runner...
PS
nice video :)
You are right, we will need to add some personal info, just so much more fun stuff to do at the moment. We are setting up the lighting for the first environment at this very moment, much more interesting than writting personal notes on the team ;)
Battle Angel Atila checked. Will need to have a closer look at it :)
oh, we are going to use it in a bit different way ;) the news are coming ;)
Hi,
Generally the game and graphic novel setting is somewhere between sci-fi and cyberpunk, balancing between the two. The inspirations came from many sources, but if you like TRON inspirations than wait for the soundtrack ;)
I'd like to say thank you to everybody who shows intrest in the project at this stage. The support shown by people like you will be one of the reasons we will succeed :) We will try to keep you up to date as much as possible, because we belive that making a game without gamers in mind would be kind of pointless. And that's not the way want it ;)
well, nobody's perfect :) we will have a look at that
Just saying Hello to everyone in the group.
If you are interested in what we are doing with Blender, here at cameleon-labs, go ahead and check our profile.
Right now we are in the process of the assets design and creation for the Rascal Rider game. We have just posted some test renders of suit "designs" achieved by messing around with the hair particles. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer. And if you want to find out some more about the inspiration for this kind of design tricks just find Scott Robertson on youtube.
It looks like Christmas is coming early this year for some Unity devs. Mobile licenses for Unity are supposed to be free from now on. If this is true we are switching from our licensed 3.5.7 to the brand new 4.1 here at cameleon-labs today or maybe tomorrow :)
