Excellent! I've always wanted a mod that successfully ports PB's assault shotgun to BD, and this does that job very well, and for my favourite version of BD too. Good work
So, I assume this is a continuation of Dox's work?
I suspect not. Doxs BD has a lot of modifications to the weapons that make using weapon reskins very difficult
Just a quick question. Is this version compatible with the Absolution TC, and also with BD64 Black Edition?
I don't know if anyone else has reported this, they probably have, but acquired keys aren't showing up on the HUD
Also, I'm glad that the mod has finally been made into a full pk3 replacement, it was, imo, overdue. The only thing now that I think would be a good addition would be a toggleable option for health recovery, PB style
Thanks for the long awaited update, it hasn't disappointed. The fist and chainsaw animations are really good, and honestly, I feel like Brutal Doom with your mod is a better all round experience than Project Brutality
Just a quick query. I love the smart crosshair feature, is it available as a separate mod that will work with vanilla bd21, or if not are there any plans to make it a separate mod?
I'd just like to say that I love this mod. The only issue I have is that the blast radius of explosions is massive, if you're not miles away from an explosion it will kill you instantly. I know that's what tends to happen in real life, but it doesn't make for a great game lol
What is different between the edited version of v21 included with this, and standard v21?
What's the load order if I want to run this with another gameplay mod?
OK, I've played the new update, and first the positive. I love the new shotgun pump sound, and the dragons breath SSG shells. I think there's still an issue with the dual wielding, regarding the full mags on pick up. On my playthrough of ultimate doom episodes 1, I found that the rifles required reloading to get full mags on both when a second was picked up, but the smg did not.
I have a couple of suggestions. What about adding an option to allow minigun commandos to spawn in Doom 1 maps, and also a separate pick up sound for the keycards instead of the same sound used for the armour and health bonuses
A very nice HUD, but if you can find a way to make it slightly smaller for the next version, that would be appreciated. Its so large as to be obtrusive
Is there a way to make the nukage from the explosive barrels damaging to the player? Assuming it's the same stuff as in the nukage pits, the fact that it doesn't damage you when you touch it seems inconsistent.
The shotguns different shell types are incorrectly labelled. I'm using the latest download of the mod on gzdoom 4.5.0. The slugs are being labelled as buckshot, and vice versa, when you switch between them

I don't know if you have thought about implementing an alternate fire mode for the machine gun yet, I know you were talking about dual weilding, but I had the idea that perhaps switchable grenade types might be more useful. For example, poison gas grenades, or electric shock grenades that release a powerful electric charge to damage enemies
Never mind, I worked out why.
Nailgun is nice, it reminds me of the old PB nailgun, that was an alternate fire mode of the HMG
Essentially, it's a lightsabre for Brutal Doom. Nice weapon though, especially the armour regeneration function.
I do have an idea for you. As you have incorporated elements of Cats Frozen Addon, how about incorporating some other mods too? Dark Doom could be a good one, or perhaps Mechanical Sanitys Classic Chainsaw, or one of your mini mods, like the Advanced Backpack, or Mastermind Chaingun. Just a thought really
Another great update. It's very cool, no pun intended, for the railgun to have the freezer firemode, and I'm pleased that someone has finally incorporated PB style double jumping and ledge grabs into a BD addon. Its a bit disappointing though, that having incorporated the code from Cats Frozen Addon for the frozen enemies, you didn't also utilise the Freezenades and the little ice blasting robot companion from that mod
that's fair enough, it was just a thought. To be honest, having played with the current build, I think your mod is one of the best submods for v21. I love the tweaks to the weapons, in particular the railgun reload, and appreciate the work that you and the other contributors put in to make it all work so well

OK, nevermind, I exited out of gzdoom then loaded it up again and it's now working. I'm not sure why it didn't work when I first loaded it, as I had the correct load order, and I hadn't changed any settings to do with the sound, or had anything else loaded that might have conflicted. Thanks for making it, it's nice to have a proper soundtrack to play Xims mod with
Have tried both with standard Doom 2, and while using Xims Star Wars Doom. The custom intermission screen is great, but no music at all plays in game
I guess I'm not the only one who has asked then lol. OK, that's fair enough, I can understand that. To be fair, you do make some damn cool weapons, so I gotta respect that.
