This is an amazing game, and if you are looking for a true sandbox game Wurm Online deserves to be in your top list.

I play since 2.5 years ago, I remember my first couple of days where a mixed impression, because back in time it was very newbie unfriendly, but after succeeding in making my first little shack the game hooked me.

What can I say, its an open world in constant change since players have the ability to truly modify the environment, that forest you see today can be a desert next month, and then changed to a steppe, those hills can be dinged down, lakes created or filled with dirt, trees grow from saplings to overage, changing size, animals grow and can be breed, for fun or to get better traited ones.

One of the things that usually new players don't see is that almost everything you see wen at your first spawn in a server is player made. There is just maybe a handful of items that can't be (are not) created by players, like your starter tools everything else someone like you created it.

There is 2 main clusters of servers, and while you can only switch clusters using a portal, you can easily switch servers by sailing/swimming to the border at which servers are connected.

And I just scratched the surface of the experience Wurm can give you.
