I've learned not to look that deeply into what people say as it's mostly a reflection of themselves. Honesty's an attribute of the truly brave- a privilege of the very few.

It's so funny that the Chuck Norris of Star Wars survived a stab wound before it was cool to do so. Now every other character just walks these "moral" flesh wounds off as if they were just a scratch.

Ah certain characters had even more gruesome wounds and they emerged more lively, not to mention victorious. It would be kind of hard to wash away a moral wound as it is forever imprinted in your mentality.

So, flesh injuries are allegedly normal to heal in SW and given the technology in there, there shouldn't be a problem to regrow a limb. Look at starfishes in our world, they can regenerate and regrow limbs, so it's natural scientists would look into it, but apparently it's impossible in SW.

To be honest, I really miss the old EU as it was cohesive and it was continually updated via comics, books. I remember reading SW Crucible as it was supposedly the last adventure of Luke, Leia and Han. It was slightly correlated with the Mortis' mystic plain, which amplified Luke's powers to a great extent.

Worse injuries in what sense? Cause cuts are less problematic than stab wounds. Historically (when duels were still a thing) it was easier to survive cuts than stabs.

Yup, limb regrowth should be possible given star wars medical lore and our own reality. It could be argued that limb regrowth for jedi isn't possible due to cloning/regrowing midi-chlorians being problematic, but everyone else should have normal limb replacements. Another issue may have just been the time needed to regrow a limb being too long for most people or it cost too much for the average person.

Everyone misses the EU, but at least our favorite EU characters can't get the jake skywalker treatment. So it's not all bad that they've decanonized it first.

Malak's jaw was cut off and he extraordinarily survived. Maul was cut in half, so he not only lost his legs, but also his entrails, but that was retconned.

At this point, I expect Abeloth to destroy the new EU. You think she's gonna show up in Ahsoka TV series? Forget Thrawn, give us Abeloth, she would mop the floor with Sidious.

As for TCW, I'd rather see Kyle's adventures recreated in Unreal Engine 5. A TV show that would span over a few seasons.
