The first aspect to point out is that Disney assimilated TCW into their own narrative as they didn't scrap it and allowed to release the 7th and allegedly last season, which would be strategically a rather bad move on their part. Well, let's wait and see what Disney has in "store" for us.
To be honest, it was quite interesting and captivating back then. However, the more I watched it, the more I realized how much it contradicted the previous EU already creating a rift between many SW fans.
TCW has more fillers(useless episodes) than I initially thought. And as much as I liked the Mando story arcs, they simply don't fit into the old EU due to certain characters such as Ahsoka that shouldn't exist and Maul that shouldn't be alive at this point. These stories were enthralling at first, but the charm faded away once you realized it's not part of the old EU.
Wasn't Anakin visibly emotionally unstable to have an apprentice? And does his student even remotely fit into Revenge of the Sith? Honestly, if you're a fan of the old EU, there's no way to incorporate her into Prequels as Anakin's pupil.
Perhaps you're Ahsoka's affectionate fan and you've seen her grow into a better being over time, which she actually did evolving into a better Jedi-like character, but there's no place for her in this story. It wouldn't be that hard to picture her as a SW character if she had been someone else's student.
And as much as I liked Maul's return, his revival is questionable to say the least.
Now I'm an armchair critic, so it's easy to pick holes in anything, but you can see for yourself that consistency is of the essence here and there's no coherence here when it comes certain characters in TCW in correlation with the Revenge of the Sith.
