We're hopefully releasing the next update video at the beginning of September.

There will be horses which you can use to traverse the landscape more quickly. There will not be pets because it would not work with the multiplayer servers.

We are not sure yet. However, we're planning to get the game on Steam for CLOSED testing hopefully at the end of this year.

Yes, there will be a way to connect with your friends in servers. The map is quite large at 32km by 32km, however most of it is ocean scattered with islands. We are looking for a maximum of 64 players per server. Yes there will be and already are caves and mine shafts in the map.
